活動以「一帶一路」為主題，帶領香港青年前往馬來西亞的檳城、吉隆坡和馬六甲進行交流考察。透過拜訪當地華人團體，了解一帶一路政策在當地的影響和帶來的機遇；到當地老人院或孤兒院，與院友互動交流，了解當地社會政策和措施；更安排參加者到當地大、中、小學進行交流，與當地老師、學生對話，了解當地教學環境與政策。
參加者感想：
It has been a pleasure that I am able to join this Malaysia One Belt One Road Initiative Exchange Tour organized by the Hong Kong Student Activity Committee. We are lucky to visit Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Penang and Kampar in this tour.
What made me memorable is that we were able to be in touch with all sorts of age groups, from students of primary school to elders in the elderly home. I remembered when we visited SMJK Notre Dame Convent School, the student representative welcomed us with local dances as well as a warm welcome. This move makes me able to experience cultural immersion with the local students. We were also capable of visiting one of the renowned universities in Malaysia- University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). The student counsellor introduced her university life to us which was relatively different from us in Hong Kong.
Apart from exposure to diverse generations, we are honored to visit the business organizations- The Federation of Malaysia Chinese Guilds Association and Malaysia Chinese Tourism Association respectively. In these two site visits, we understood more about the opportunities and knowledge regarding the One Belt One Road Initiative. Business and tourism play prominent roles in the economy. This can immerse the rapid growth of an economy and cooperation between cities.
Aside from the market affairs gained from this exchange tour, I also achieved precious friendships in this exchange tour. We consisted of 20 tour members coming from different universities, it is very essential for us to step out of our comfort zone and meet new friends. It has been a blessing that I have attained memorable memories with my new friends.
Time flies like a blink of an eye. It was time for us to say goodbye. I hope I can join another memorable tour with my friends in the future. -- Wong Yu Xuan
